Welcome to the Cotswold Sewing School
Our courses are set up to feel like an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We want your creativity to be inspired and you leave us feeling relaxed, with confidence in your newly acquired skills. Most soft furnishing courses are run by Louise, our professional home stylist and soft furnishing maker. Our upholstery and lampshade courses are run by the incredibly talented Emily. We also have highly skilled tutors visiting us to run their pop up workshops too. Keep an eye on what we have coming up .

AMUSF 1 Year Certified Course
The AMUSF Essential Soft Furnishings certificate is a 1 year course taught in line with the academic year. 2024/2025 in take will run on Thursdays and Sundays. You will need to attend a minimum of 22 in studio days between September and July. ONLY 5 PLACES AVAILABLE.
The Cotswold Sewing School
Hello and a warm welcome to the Cotswold sewing school. I’m Louise, busy mum to two boys.
I began to sew small projects during a difficult personal time in my life. Sewing transported me to a different reality and quickly became a therapy. After a few months I decided to take the plunge and retrain as a specialist soft furnishing maker. Having a career over 15 years revolving around the property industry I’ve always had a passion for transforming interiors.
About Me
I’m now genuinely living my dream, working around my children’s diaries and needs. I want to help you develop your love for sewing too. After qualifying I set up my own limited company making soft furnishings. Although I now have a professional workroom, Initially I didn’t have the budget for a workspace so everything was made on my kitchen table or lounge floor.
How I Can Help
I understand many will not have a ready-made work room available. I will help you adapt to the space you have. Anyone can do this and everyone has creativity inside them. I have worked hard to create a safe spacious environment where you can really relax whilst acquiring new skills. Alongside working with my private clients I am excited to also offer sewing tuition.
